Started with r6 (and detected somehow with r5) :

end


$ cat z2.f90

   associate (y => x(:)(:))
   end associate
end


$ gfortran-5 -c z1.f90 -fcoarray=lib 
z1.f90:3:20:

    associate (y => x(:)(2:))
                    1
Error: Rank mismatch in array reference at (1) (1/0)
