The actual miscompilation is probably happening within ops/emu128-inl.h. You can further reduce instantiations by replacing ForFloatTypes(ForPartialVectors()); with TestMulAdd()(float(), FixedTag()); That gets us down to a fairly minimal single TU (mul_test.cc).=
