[Bug c/26185] New: Does not compile on iMac

Cross compiler for M6811 does not compile on iMac.
Host compiler on OS X 10.4.4:
powerpc-apple-darwin8-gcc-4.0.1 (GCC) 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5250)

binutils 2.16 installed.
Invocation line:
