  if ( all (b == y) ) then

hades [TEST] ./a.out 
 a:            1
 x:            1

 b:            0
 y:            2

 BAD:  b /= y

hades [TEST] gfortran --version
GNU Fortran (GCC) 4.2.1 (Ubuntu 4.2.1-5ubuntu4)

It does not work for MacOS PowerPC either, same output. The version
I used ton my Mac was:

epsilon [TEST] gfortran --version      
GNU Fortran (GCC) 4.3.0 20071017 (experimental) [trunk revision 129405]
Copyright (C) 2007 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
