For what "we" are concerned it is obsolete.
1) things changed somehow between 4.6.0 and 4.6.1
2) is not there anymore in 4.7 and 4.8

in any case the original problem was most probably in binutil.
The unwind info issues I think were at some point fixed in lto 


Please close it.
