I tried to compile a kernel module with LTO but the compiler died when linking:

gcc -flto -nostdlib -nodefaultlibs -r -Wl,-m -Wl,elf_x86_64

There is not enough information in this bugreport.  Please also consider
updating GCC to 4.6.0, the LTO support in 4.5.x is still very experimental
and at least partial linking will not work reliably.

I'll try when Linaro will switch to 4.6 then
