I suspect it's http://gcc.gnu.org/viewcvs?root=gcc&view=rev&rev=173653, maybe
also causing some SPEC2k6 issues that I now run into.

Btw, the refered patch should at most cause more types to be considered
equal by the type verifier, not less ... at least I can't see the obvious
difference.  Hmm.
