I have posted the results of the tests at http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2011-09/msg01559.html and http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2011-09/msg01560.html to be compared to the results posted at http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2011-09/msg01360.html and http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2011-09/msg01357.html . On powerpc-apple-darwin9 all the 22_locale/* failures are fixed without regression. On x86_64-apple-darwin10 there are two unrelated regressions (pr50433 and pr50435 that are still there if the patch is reverted). To be on the safe side it would be nice to do the same tests on powerpc*-linux-* (and to answer the questions in comment #6;-). Thanks for the patch.
