Compared to PowerPC the optimization for the attached test case is suboptimal.

Command line:

arm-eabi-gcc -O2 -march=armv7-m -mthumb -S test-1.c -o test-1-arm.s
powerpc-rtems4.11-gcc -O2 -S test-1.c -o test-1-ppc.s
