One could argue that this issue is due to

http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/docs/cwg_active.html#1402

If the current P/R becomes accepted, the code would become accepted, too ;-)
Joke aside: Would it be useful to connect this issue with CWG 1402?
