If I extract the subroutine where this happens and call it with the same arguments there is no asan error. This will make it more difficult to get to a small reproducer. Interestingly, if I compile the full code with -g -O0 -fsanitize=address instead of '-g -O1 -fsanitize=address -march=native' asan does not report an error.
