He is the sole owner of that code and it could be used by gcc as they wish. The code is on my server at http://mathalacarte.com/hpcconsult He can be contacted at richard.koolhans@gmail.com. This feature is one of the oldest language features not available in gfortran, and can be a real impediment portability.
