Subject: [Bug c++/63423] New: internal compiler error: in cp_parser_abort_tentative_parse, at cp/parser.c
Date: Wed, 01 Oct 2014 07:33:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-63423-4@http.gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/> (raw)

https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=63423

            Bug ID: 63423
           Summary: internal compiler error: in
                    cp_parser_abort_tentative_parse, at cp/parser.c
           Product: gcc
           Version: 4.8.3
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: c++
          Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
          Reporter: kretz at kde dot org

Testcase:

template <typename F, typename A,
          typename = decltype(static_cast<void (&)(A &)>(F::operator())(A()))>
void test();

Compile it with '-std=c++11'. Tested to fail with GCC 4.8.[0123]. GCC 4.9.x
does not fail.

Output from GCC 4.8.3:

ice.cpp:2:76: internal compiler error: in cp_parser_abort_tentative_parse, at
cp/parser.c:23778
           typename = decltype(static_cast<void (&)(A &)>(F::operator())(A()))>
