From: "redi at gcc dot gnu.org" <gcc-bugzilla@gcc.gnu.org> To: gcc-bugs@gcc.gnu.org Subject: [Bug c++/64531] `casting between pointer-to-function and pointer-to-object` is still a warning instead of error with `-pedantic -pedantic-errors` Date: Sun, 22 Feb 2015 04:41:00 -0000 [thread overview] Message-ID: <bug-64531-4-J2hTZ8sbCZ@http.gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/> (raw) In-Reply-To: <bug-64531-4@http.gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/> https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=64531 Jonathan Wakely <redi at gcc dot gnu.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keywords| |diagnostic --- Comment #1 from Jonathan Wakely <redi at gcc dot gnu.org> --- The standard now says "Converting a function pointer to an object pointer type or vice versa is conditionally-supported." GCC supports it, so there is not even a warning in GCC 4.9 or later, so it's not very likely any change will be made to 4.8 now.
