Subject: [Bug bootstrap/65645] New: --without-system-zlib has no impact in gcc directory
Date: Wed, 01 Apr 2015 03:51:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-65645-4@http.gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/> (raw)

https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65645

            Bug ID: 65645
           Summary: --without-system-zlib has no impact in gcc directory
           Product: gcc
           Version: 5.0
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: bootstrap
          Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
          Reporter: hjl.tools at gmail dot com

When GCC is configured with --without-system-zlib, cc1 is still
linked with system zlib due to

# Use the system's zlib library.
zlibdir=-L../zlib
zlibinc="-I\$(srcdir)/../zlib"
AC_ARG_WITH(system-zlib,
[AS_HELP_STRING([--with-system-zlib], [use installed libz])],
zlibdir=
zlibinc=
)
AC_SUBST(zlibdir)
AC_SUBST(zlibinc)

in gcc/configure.ac.

if test x$with_system_zlib = xyes ; then
fi

is missing.
