Confirmed.

For what I think should happen is there should be a CONST_DECL which contai=
ns
the string and is able to be pulled in and that is the address which gets p=
ut
into _ZL12typeDerived2, etc.=20

Note even with -fno-merge-constants on elf targets, strings are still put i=
nto
the .rodata.str1.1 section so the linker is going to merge them anyways.=
