            Bug ID: 95030
Summary: Conflicting report about VIA eden's AVX capabilities
           Product: gcc
           Version: 11.0
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: target
Assignee: unassigned at gcc dot gnu.org
Reporter: arthur200126 at gmail dot com
  Target Milestone: ---

The support for many VIA targets are introduced in git commit
fdb351b1fe983a46b3308f845c3d228c6c7ab4ae or svn trunk@237534.[1][2] This commit
mentions AVX2 as being present in eden-x4 in the texinfo file, but neglates to
include it in the PTA_ macros. This problem remains in the current HEAD of gcc.

If nano-x4 does have AVX and AVX-2, this commit is missing them too. I don't
have one on hand to verify, but news articles do seem to indicate that VIA
QuadCore C4650 has it.

Thanks to tcl_de in sourceware bz[1], a CPUID dump from eden-x4 is available:
http://users.atw.hu/instlatx64/CentaurHauls/CentaurHauls00006FE_CNR_Isaiah_CPUID.txt

MOVBE, POPCNT, AES, PCLMUL, FSGSBASE, RDRND, BMI, BMI2 and F16C are also
supported on eden-x4.

For the sake of completeness, a lot of extra CPUID info is available from
http://users.atw.hu/instlatx64/. This bug will apply to Zhaoxin too, likely as
an alias.
