I don't believe that we need the combine change. I did notice one interesting case where we get unnecesssary zero extends. I will submit that as a new bug report. I also noticed with riscv64-linux testing that some -gsplit-dwarf tests fai= l, but this turns out to be a latent bug in the split-dwarf support. I will submit that as a new bug report. I believe this is fixed, so closing as resolved.=
