From: "jakub at gcc dot gnu.org" <gcc-bugzilla@gcc.gnu.org> To: gcc-bugs@gcc.gnu.org Subject: [Bug c/97445] Some fonctions marked static inline in Linux kernel are not inlined Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2020 13:46:52 +0000 [thread overview] Message-ID: <bug-97445-4-qcwHII1yki@http.gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/> (raw) In-Reply-To: <bug-97445-4@http.gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/> https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=97445 Jakub Jelinek <jakub at gcc dot gnu.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |jakub at gcc dot gnu.org --- Comment #1 from Jakub Jelinek <jakub at gcc dot gnu.org> --- See https://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html, you haven't provided either preprocessed source, nor gcc command line options. inline keyword itself is not a guarantee that the function will be inlined, it is inlined if it is possible and seems beneficial to the inlining heuristics. If you want to always inline, use __attribute__((always_inline)) in addition to inline keyword.
