Thanks to r12-2087 suppression by #pragma GCC diagnos= tic works reliably even with inlining in GCC 12, so the warning can also be suppressed using it. I'm not working on any other improvements related to = the underlying problem but I think this report can be resolved as fixed in GCC = 11 and 12.=
