Obviously, I missed the point of your patch. Upon waking up
further, I realize why you did what you did, and why it is sensible.
Please accept my apologies for making a hasty reading.
I still don't think the change to decls_match would hurt, but I can
also see that it wouldn't solve the problem you were trying to solve.
