i emailed earlier about code that doubled in size with gcc 2.95.3
someone was kind enough to point out that strip -X removes compiler
generated locals from symbol tables. rather than invoking gcc and then strip
is there a command line option that will keep gcc from generating debug info
for compiler temporaries?
