Do the GCC Objective-C garbage collection facilities offer object finalization,
similar in nature to that offered by the finalize() method of Java? Is there a
-finalize message that is sent to each Objective-C object before it is deallocated,
for instance? If not, is there a recommended and portable way of getting the garbage
collector to invoke such a method before collecting an object?

   Much obliged,
     Fred
