How much disk space should be required to compile (make) GCC 2.95.1 under
Linux? I have added 150 MB to the partition just for that and still run out
of diskspace during make bootstrap. Alternatively, is there a binary
distribution for i686 (or lower) Linux?

Thanks,
Boris Zakharin

That may be enough for make bootstrap-lean, if you build c only during
bootstrap, following up by adding only the additional languages you want. Why
not use 2.95.2?

The only reason I am trying to compile 2.95.1 is because I have downloaded
it a while back and only got around to trying to install it recently, so I
didn't want to redownload. I can make more space available to compile if I
know how much is required. I would still prefer a binary distribution,
though.

Thanks,
Boris Zakharin
