Hi,
I have a simple question:
What happens to the old compilers on my Linux/GNU-system, if I install
the new gcc? These old compilers are egcs/gcc.
I don't like old programs/files linger around on my system...
Are the old files overwritten by the installation? What about files
of the old compilers not exists in the new? Are they removed? Should
I first deinstall the old compilers? (Or do I need them for installing
the compiled new gcc?)
I am running a SuSE (6.1, partly 6.2) Linux system with egcs and
gcc(-wrapper?).
Thanx in advance,
Robert W.
