I understand that gcc and/or gjc will act on the class files and generate .o and .h files so I can compile and load. I started by downloading the gcc-2.95.2.tar.gz and the gcc-java-2.95.tar.gz files and successfully unzipped and untared them into their two directory structures. There is a Makefile.in there and I tried running gmake using that but I get an error of a separator needed at line 128. So I tried just runninng cc -g *.c and nothing compiles. It is still missing a number of header files (e.g. config.h). What more do I need to download, and from where? I read some stuff about gld? and other executables that I probably don't have and some instruction on setting up /usr/local in my PATH. Is there some sort of cookbook procedure anywhere that I can follow? I would really appreciate any help you can offer. Best Regards Bob Neal. ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1
