Subject: Help gcc4 on GNU/Linux AMD64: Error: suffix or operands invalid
Date: Tue, 02 Aug 2005 08:19:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20050802081905.4629.qmail@web25608.mail.ukl.yahoo.com> (raw)
Hi,
I'm compiling a software (AFNI:
http://afni.nimh.nih.gov/afni) containing the source
package 'mpegtoppm'. Compilation of 'mpegtoppm' failed
with the following error messages:
/tmp/ccO4bk3Z.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/ccO4bk3Z.s:24: Error: suffix or operands invalid
for `pop'
/tmp/ccO4bk3Z.s:27: Error: suffix or operands invalid
for `push'
/tmp/ccO4bk3Z.s:30: Error: suffix or operands invalid
for `pop'
make[1]: *** [cpu_accel.lo] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/local/src/afni_src/mpegtoppm_dir/libmpeg2'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
I am compiling on a debian GNU/Linux AMD64 machine,
using gcc4.0.0 and make3.80.
I attach the Makefile used to compile AFNI, and the
mpegtoppm folder containg sources, the configure file
and the generated Makefile.
Any suggestion?
Thanks,
Davide
