I wanted to ask if there is an opportunity to
download lzma compressed archive files of gcc snapshots?
It does look like this could reduce one's download time
$ ls -l
total 100344
-rw-r--r-- 1 myuser myuser 56086603 2008-05-17 15:56 gcc-4.4-20080418.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 myuser myuser 46543224 2008-05-17 15:48 gcc-4.4-20080418.tar.lzma

Not at present. I think the first step would be to get support into
GNU tar.
