Hello,
I'm trying to compile gcc-3.0.4 on an i686 machine running linux (Redhat
7.2). When I run the configure script, I get the following:
Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /usr/masdad/gcc using "mt-frag"
Cannot find the GNU C library minor version number.
I looked in the archives of the gcc / gcc-help mailing lists, and indeed
there was some discussion [going back to 2000!] on a problem with the
config-in script causing this. According to my features.h file, my libc
version is 2.2; this however this does not seem to be picked up by the
script. Does anyone know how to correct this, or how to force a correct
configuration?
Please reply (or at least Cc) to sender.
thanks,
David
