Hi,
I've never built gcc before but there's always a first time and I've
decided to take the plunge today. I downloaded gcc-3.2, binutils-2.13,
glibc-2.2.5, texinfo-4.2, bison-1.35, gperf-2.7.2 but am unsure of what
the directory tree should look like to build everything.
This is the plan:
1. extract gcc-3.2 sources to /tmp/gccbuild
2. extract binutils-2.13 sources to /tmp/gccbuild/gcc-3.2
3. extract glibc-2.2.5 sources to /tmp/gccbuild/gcc-3.2
4. extract bison-1.35 sources to /tmp/gccbuild/gcc-3.2
5. extract gperf-2.7.2 sources to /tmp/gccbuild/gcc-3.2
6. extract texinfo-4.2 sources to /tmp/gccbuild/gcc-3.2
The directory tree will look like this:
/tmp/gccbuild/gcc-3.2
/gcc
/binutils-2.13
/glibc-2.2.5
/bison-1.35
/gperf-2.7.2
/textinfo-4.2
Is that correct? or do they need to go in other places?
Thanks,
Chris
