Can anyone provide insight on this configure error message?
/sodsim/local/gcc-3.2/objdir#>../configure --with-as=/usr/bin/as
--with-ld=/usr/bin/ld --disable-nls
Configuring for a sparc-sun-solaris2.8 host.
Created "Makefile" in /sodsim/local/gcc-3.2/objdir using "mh-frag"
/usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not installed
*** The command 'cc -o conftest -g conftest.c' failed.
*** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler.

Hello,
I just installed gcc 2.95.1 on Solaris 7 and tried to install ssh 2.0.11.
However, when I run the configure script, it starts ok, finds gcc, but then
I get a message saying:
"configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot
create executables."
Does anyone know what I can do to this?
