Are you sure you don't already have MIME::Base64 ? That module is a 
standard inclusion with perl 5.8.

perl -MMIME::Base64 -le 'print $MIME::Base64::VERSION;'

(will either print the version of MIME::Base64, or error if the module 
is not present.)
