I'm compiling code for an ARM926EJ-S core, and had a question as to the difference in two possible optimization flag settings available in gcc 3.4:
-mcpu=arm926ejs
 and
-march=armv5te
Either applies to the core; which is preferable - i.e., which will generate code best optimized for this core - or are they equivalent?
Thanks,
 \
 Jon
