Hi All
I untarred gcc-4.3.0 in AIX and I get the following error :
././@LongLink, 112 bytes, 1 tape blocks
x gcc-4.3.0/libstdc++-v3/testsuite/tr1/5_numerical_facilities/random/normal_distribution/requirements
tar: directory checksum error (-264386648 != 42287)
I tried to download from different mirror sites still the same error. Any help or pointer will be greatly help.
Thanks in advance
With Regards
Vardhan

You must use GNU tar. The vendor supplied tar on many systems cannot handle long path names.
