I am using Ubuntu 13.10. After updation I am getting an
error as above. can you please tell me how to resolve this.

So, you compile a parallel application using MPI.
- Which command do you use ? "mpicc" ?
- What "mpicc --show" gives ?
It looks like your command cannot locate the MPI library
