trying to install gcc but i'm not getting it. i have g4 macosx 10.4,
are there easier step by step instructions? the gcc folder unpacked
in my home dir. do i need to put this folder someplace els.

Hi Mark,
The best way to install GCC on OS X 10.4 is to go to Apple's developers website, download the XCode 2.1 developer package, and run it. That package installs GCC 4.0.0 (Apple build 5026), and you'll be all set.
