Installation under MacOS X Public Beta

Hello,

I am currently trying to compile gcc for MacOS X Public beta.  The configure
command completes sucessfully with no error, however, during running of the
make command I get the message:
../../gcc-20001204/gcc/errors.h:30: illegal function definition, found
`__attribute__'

This occurs while the following command is being run:
cc -c  -DIN_GCC    -g -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes -Wtraditional -pedantic -Wno-long-long  -DHAVE_CONFIG_H
-DGENERATOR_FILE    -I. -I. -I../../gcc-20001204/gcc
-I../../gcc-20001204/gcc/. -I../../gcc-20001204/gcc/config
-I../../gcc-20001204/gcc/../include ../../gcc-20001204/gcc/gencodes.c

Any help you could give regarding this would be much appreciated.

The port of GCC for MacOS X hasn't been contributed to the GCC CVS
tree yet.
