What do you mean "tied to"?


is major problem because it depends from libc. Therefore libsupc++ may(and
> probaly will) depend from libc.



Libsupc++ has minimal dependencies on libc, and what it has is
optional/configurable.

Are you building with --disable-hosted-libstdcxx to get a freestanding
libsupc++ build?
