Header files are generally in /usr/include, but GCC fixes some of them that wouldn't compile with GCC or simply that are buggy, and stores them in its own installation tree. Those that don't require fixing remain in /usr/include. Perhaps you're running GCC on a machine that doesn't have development header files? -- Alexandre Oliva Enjoy Guarana', see http://www.ic.unicamp.br/~oliva/ Red Hat GCC Developer aoliva@{cygnus.com, redhat.com} CS PhD student at IC-Unicamp oliva@{lsd.ic.unicamp.br, gnu.org} Free Software Evangelist *Please* write to mailing lists, not to me
