Dear Sir,

I downloaded gcc-2.95.3-sol7-sparc-local.gz and installed on my Ultra 80 workstation running Solaris 7. I tried to use gcc -m64 to compile 64-bit application. gcc displayed a message:

cc1: -m64 is not supported by this configuration
cc1: -mptr32 not allowed on -m64

I would like to know what kind of configuration I should set to enable the 64-bit application compilation.

Thanks and best regards,

Yi-Jen Su

AFAIK, the only versions of GCC that support 64-bit sparc correctly
are GCC 3.1 CVS and the Red Hat-released GCC 2.96.
