Sorry, I replied to the wrong patch - I meant to reply to your email
with the patch that only adds a COND_EXEC check
for the maybe_limm case.
And we've beeen discussing this on the wrong mailing list - this thread
should been started gcc-patches@gcc.gnu.org;
As this is not netnews where you can meaningfully set a followup-to, I
changed the To: accordingly and put gcc@gnu.org only in the Bcc

The patch is tested with the latest gcc-head (dg.exp). It also has been in place for at least the past year in the Synopsys' git gcc-4.8 branch.
