The backport http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2006-11/msg00573.html
has missed the libstdc++ half of this patch:
libstdc++-v3:
2006-10-29 Joseph Myers <joseph@codesourcery.com>
* testsuite/config/default.exp (${tool}_target_compile): Use
v3_target_compile.
gcc/testsuite:
2006-10-29 Joseph Myers <joseph@codesourcery.com>
* lib/target-supports.exp (check_function_available): Declare
function before calling.
This leads to 9 PASS->UNSUPPORTED transitions between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2.
OK to checking the other half? Tested on i686-pc-linux-gnu.

Backport from mainline:
2006-10-30 Joseph Myers <joseph@codesourcery.com>
* testsuite/config/default.exp (${tool}_target_compile): Use
v3_target_compile.
