I have merged trunk into fortran-dev and included Janus patch for the recent
regressions on the branch. Clean build, clean regression tests.
Committed revision 155778.

Jerry

cd to my local branch
svn update my local branch
svn merge svn+ssh://jvdelisle@gcc.gnu.org/svn/gcc/trunk
bootstrap and test my local branch.
and if all is well.
svn commit
This commits my merged local branch back out to the repository.
I have subversion 1.6.9. New files added locally have to be svn add before the
commit back out, but update adds and deletes files to my locak branch fine.

Jerry

What is the best way to merge the trunk into a branch?
I regularily do svnmerge merge to merge trunk into GCC MELT, but
sometimes strange things happens (i.e. I have to svn add new trunk
files manually into GCC MELT). Very often, it is ok, but I don't
understand when and how it goes wrong!
So what tool or script or human procedure did you use to merge trunk
into fortran-dev?
Cheers
