Subject: [57/67] Use scalar_int_mode in expand_expr_addr_expr
Date: Fri, 09 Dec 2016 13:34:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <87mvg5fcqg.fsf@e105548-lin.cambridge.arm.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <87h96dp8u6.fsf@e105548-lin.cambridge.arm.com> (Richard	Sandiford's message of "Fri, 09 Dec 2016 12:48:01 +0000")

This patch rewrites the condition:

  if (tmode != address_mode && tmode != pointer_mode)
    tmode = address_mode;

to the equivalent:

  tmode == pointer_mode ? pointer_mode : address_mode

The latter has the advantage that the result is naturally
a scalar_int_mode.

	* expr.c (expand_expr_addr_expr): Add a new_tmode local variable
	that is always either address_mode or pointer_mode.
