Subject: Update soft-fp from glibc (fixes PR 53317)
Date: Fri, 21 Jun 2013 19:08:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.4.64.1306211907520.350@digraph.polyomino.org.uk> (raw)
I've updated soft-fp in libgcc from glibc. The immediate motivation
is to fix bug 53317, incorrect conversions from __int128 to __float128
when the value has exponent 112, which I came across while
investigating a glibc soft-fp bug report. The update also brings in
other soft-fp fixes / cleanups and Maciej's support for MIPS NaN
conventions in soft-fp (which will be of use if soft-fp is used
instead of fp-bit for MIPS in libgcc in future).
In line with that support, I added definitions of _FP_QNANNEGATEDP to
0 in the existing sfp-machine.h files. No further architecture
maintainer action should be needed. (But note that IA64 still hasn't
got a definition of FP_TRAPPING_EXCEPTIONS, which should have been
added after a previous soft-fp update for architectures where soft-fp
interacts with hardware exceptions and rounding modes.)
Bootstrapped with no regressions on x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.
