 Tested with
 gcc version 2.97 20010211 (experimental)
 
 Managed to compile the code without an internal compiler error,
 but lots of warnings.
 
 Should this report be closed?
 
 
 Since you mentioned that you use Redhat 7.0 gcc,
 you may wish to upgrade the compiler to the
 latest from ftp://rawhide.redhat.com , which has
 a lot of fixes to the compiler.
