    Testing your code with gcc 3.0.1 does not crash the compiler
    but results in a compilation error:
    
    vector3.cc: In member function `Vector3d& Matrix3x3::operator[](int) const':
    vector3.cc:121: could not convert `this->Matrix3x3::v1' to `Vector3d&'
    vector3.cc:122: could not convert `this->Matrix3x3::v2' to `Vector3d&'
    vector3.cc:123: could not convert `this->Matrix3x3::v3' to `Vector3d&'
