Ideally g77 would have a mode in which it does not emit the 
source line and "^" line, but instead uses the 
file:line:column:message format used by cpp.  

IDEs such as emacs can then put the user's cursor at the 
proper spot in the line.

It would also make things easier to parse within dejagnu.
