Could you > give it a try? Sure: I'm now well into stage2, so this obviously fixes the bootstrap problem (which occured when the stage1 compiler tried to build libgcc). Thanks alot for finding this. I didn't do much research when I ran into the problem since this particular issue had been fixed and broken again so many times in the past. Rainer
