OK, so you're really on 2.7 (I thought it was a typo as your 3.0.1 invokations indicates sparc-sun-solaris2.8; hence I thought you would have been able to build 3.1, see http://gcc.gnu.org/java/gcj-3.1-status.html) I think you should report the 2.7 build failure. ./A
